Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI & SQL Specialist to join our client’s analytics and data engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who possesses a strong background in database development, complex SQL querying, and Power BI dashboarding. The candidate should be capable of managing data pipelines, integrating multiple sources, and delivering insightful, interactive visualizations to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to present data-driven insights.
* Write optimized and complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
* Work with relational databases to manage, query, and integrate data from multiple sources.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
* Develop data models, create calculated measures/columns, and optimize datasets for performance in Power BI.
* Support data cleansing, validation, and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting.
* Troubleshoot data-related issues and ensure seamless integration between data sources and dashboards.
* Collaborate with the data engineering team to improve data pipelines and ETL workflows.

Role Requirements and Qualifications:
* Hands on experience with Power BI, advanced report and dashboard development.
* DAX expressions, data modeling, and row-level security (RLS)
* Performance tuning and optimization techniques.
* Strong hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries.
* Experience with stored procedures, triggers, and indexing.
* Expertise in working with relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL or similar)
* Experience with Data Engineering and exposure to ETL processes and data integration techniques.
* Familiarity with data pipelines, transformations and scheduling.
* Preferred experience on cloud platform, Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse or equivalent)
* Power Automate, Python or other scripting tools for automation.
