Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect with deep expertise in Azure and Databricks to design and implement modern data platforms for a global organization. The role requires strong technical leadership in building a scalable Delta Lakehouse architecture, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring governance and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
*Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models across domains.
*Define data ingestion and transformation architecture using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
*Design scalable Delta Lake-based data lakehouse with optimal partitioning.
*Develop metadata-driven ingestion framework for extensibility.
*Establish CI/CD strategy and deployment standards using Azure DevOps/Git.
*Ensure alignment with governance policies and security practices.
*Collaborate with various workstreams and technical teams.
*Guide implementation teams with architectural standards and reviews.
*Optimize performance of Spark jobs, queries, and Power BI models.
*Maintain detailed architecture documentation and participate in design reviews.
Role Requirements and Qualifications:
*12+ years in data architecture, preferably in mining or heavy industries.
*Deep expertise in Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Spark.
*Strong experience in lakehouse design, CI/CD pipelines, and metadata frameworks.
*Knowledge of mining industry preferred.
*Excellent design documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.
