Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Appian Developer to support the team by designing, developing, and maintaining business process
automation solutions and digital applications using the Appian Low-Code Platform. This role will contribute to
requirements analysis and solution design, provides technical and architectural input for new Appian
applications, and ensures all deliverables are secure, scalable, and aligned with platform best practices. It
involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, optimizing existing processes and applications, and
mentoring junior developers. The role also stays current with Appian platform enhancements, low-code
technologies, and emerging automation and AI capabilities, proactively sharing insights to support continuous
improvement of digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications on the Appian Low-Code Platform, ensuring
scalability, performance, and security.
* Develop complex process models using Appian Designer and guide end-to-end BPM development
following Appian best practices.
* Design and implement high-quality solutions using SAIL interfaces, Complex Data Types (CDTs), and
custom database schemas.
* Provide architectural direction and technical solutions for Appian-based Business Process Management
(BPM) applications.
* Advise and support the development team on Appian capabilities, integrations, data structures, and
automation strategies.
* Mentor junior developers by providing guidance, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
* Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to transform business
requirements into effective technical solutions.
* Conduct system performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and responsiveness of
Appian applications.
* Develop technical documentation including reports, user manuals, test plans, architecture diagrams and
release notes.
* Participate in business process re-engineering efforts for federal agencies or enterprise clients, providing
Appian expertise to streamline operations.
* Ensure adherence to architecture frameworks, established CoE, compliance standards, and Appian
development best practices

Role Requirements and Qualifications:
* Minimum of 6+ years, recently working with Appian software development and designing.
* Deep expertise in Appian BPM, Appian SAIL, and Appian RPA.
* Proficiency in REST APIs for integrations.
* Strong understanding of Azure cloud platform.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
* Hands-on experience with Appian plug-ins and Appian Administration.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
* Strong communication skills to influence decisions both horizontally and vertically within an enterprise.
* Takes direction from the Project Manager and Technical Lead while collaborating with developers on development tasks.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications: Appian Certified Senior Developer
