Job Summary:
We are looking Data Governance Expert who is responsible for managing and implementing the day-to-day tasks. The role is highly collaborative, focusing on establishing governance best practices for structured and unstructured data, engaging with domain stewards, and overseeing the use of Microsoft Purview as the primary governance tool.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
*Proven experience in data governance, data management, or information management in a business-facing capacity.
*Regular updates to the Data Governance Lead and participation in council meetings.
*Maintenance of governance documentation and handover responsibilities to ensure continuity post-contract period.
*Hands-on expertise with data catalog or business glossary tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or Alation.
*Active management of Microsoft Purview and OneLake Catalog for data governance operations.
*Skilled in data classification, stewardship, structured and unstructured data governance concepts, and sensitive/PII data handling.
*Organized and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple collaborative projects without constant supervision.
*Strong communication and facilitation skills for engaging non-technical stakeholders.

Role Requirements and Qualification:
*Minimum relevant of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
*Experience in facilitating governance sessions with non-technical stakeholders.
*Familiarity with platforms like Microsoft Purview, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric for governance implementations.
*Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as UAE PDPL, GDPR, or similar privacy laws.
*Professional experience in BPO, financial services, or governmental organizations is an added advantage.
