Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a core platform team. This is a hands-on role combining data architecture, software engineering, and multi-cloud platform delivery. You will be involved in designing and building the data foundations that underpin enterprise analytics and downstream consumption working across cloud environments and engaging directly with stakeholders to drive platform quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Platform Experience:
*Proven experience contributing to or leading enterprise data platform builds.
*Data governance, data quality frameworks, and data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical).
*Ability to establish and maintain a single source of truth across complex data environments.
2.Software Engineering:
*Strong hands-on coding in SQL and Python; able to write clean, production-grade code.
*ETL/ELT pipeline development, error handling, and performance optimisation.
*Version control (Git), CI/CD practices, and Agile delivery experience.
3.Software Architecture:
*Able to translate business requirements into platform-level technical designs.
*Experience producing architecture artefacts and data flow documentation.
*Comfortable leading technical discussions and reviewing others' designs.
4.Cloud Experience (Vendor Agnostic):
*Hands-on experience across at least two cloud platforms — AWS, Azure, GCP, or Databricks.
*Familiarity with cloud-native data services (e.g. Redshift, S3, ADF, ADLS, Databricks, BigQuery).
*Ability to design and deliver cloud-agnostic solutions adaptable across vendor environments.
* Nice to have: Palantir data engineering experience.
